25 people infected with tuberculosis have been found in one ward of Balwan Municipality of Mahottari. Pratibha Singh, a health worker of the public health office, informed that 25 people have been diagnosed with tuberculosis in ward no. 11 Dhamoura village here.
According to Birendra Mahato, the in-charge of Dhamura health post, tuberculosis infection has been observed in people aged 17 to 74 years. Among the infected, 12 people are currently in contact with the health post and are taking medicine. Locals have demanded to conduct a comprehensive awareness campaign in the ward to search for more infected people.
