62-year-old Loknath Sah Teli of Parsa's Vindwasini Rural Municipality-2, who became a fake monk after killing his neighbor in a land dispute, has been arrested after 17 years.

Neighbor Dhoda Mukhiya Win was killed by gunfire on 25th Baisakh 2064 and escaped. He was hiding as a priest in Ramjanaki temple in Champaran Piriya, India for 10 years disguised as a sadhu.

Loknath, who absconded after the murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Supreme Court on October 24, 2069, in a case related to duty. He was arrested by the team of the Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday from Birgunj in Parsa and made public on Tuesday.

Sudhirraj Shahi, Superintendent of Police of Buro, told him that the judgment was submitted to the District Court Parsa on Tuesday.
