The Revenue Investigation Office at Pathalaiya has filed a case against two companies here with a claim of Rs.507,94,982 revenue leakage.
According to Hari Prasad Sharma, Chief Investigation Officer of the Revenue Investigation Office, on Wednesday, Chandan Gupta, the owner of Amyra Textiles, and Sanjay Kumar Kurmi, the owner of Shivshanti Construction, filed a charge sheet in the temporary bench of the High Court, Janakpur, Birganj, with the demand that they committed the offense of revenue leakage.
Owner of Amyra Textile Chandan Gupta of Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan-7 has committed the offense of revenue leakage by trading in clothes without issuing a tax return, and has been charged 16.65 million 60 thousand five hundred and 5.83 million for value added tax and 2.23 million 98 thousand 276.
The said office has filed an indictment against the director Gupta with a demand of 4 crore 47 lakh 96 thousand five hundred 53 and a prison sentence to be imposed according to section 23 (1) of the Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) Act, 2052.
Similarly, Sanjay Kumar Kurmi of Birgunj Mahanagar-16, Shiv Shanti Construction, for the offense of leaking revenue by dealing with double receipts, 19 lakh 60 thousand 151 and 10 lakh 39 thousand 63 bigo towards value addition and 29 lakh 99 thousand 214 with a hundred percent fine of 59 lakh 98 thousand 428 and a charge sheet has been registered with the demand for imprisonment.
So far, 11 cases related to revenue leakage and eight cases related to violation of foreign regulations have been registered in the temporary bench.
