According to the police, the identity of the dead body is not yet known. However, Gulsna Khatun, a 13-year-old girl from the same village, has been missing since February 29.

Khatun, a class 4 student in the community school of the village, left home at 9 in the morning. 

However, after he did not come back, his mother Zaheda Khatun filed a complaint with the police on March 1. Locals suspect that the body found on Tuesday could be his. However, DSP Bakhu said that since the body was found in a rotten state, it was difficult to identify it and more details would be revealed after the investigation.
