Shri Bhagwan Thakur, the registrar of Madhesh Agricultural University, reached the office at Rajviraj on Thursday and assumed office again. Thakur appeared in the office after the Supreme Court ordered on Wednesday in the name of the Madhesh state government not to immediately implement the decision to dismiss Thakur.
Judge Nityanand Pandey's bench fixed the hearing date on Chait 11th for the discussion and ordered the opposition including the Chief Minister who is also the chancellor of the university to keep the decision and the related letter as it is immediately.
On reaching the office on Thursday, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Thakur told the registrar. Wahidynath Mahato was welcomed by the staff. Registrar Thakur said that he went to court because he tried to remove himself illegally and the judiciary gave him justice.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered not to immediately implement the decision to dismiss Vice-Chancellor Mahato. Vice-Chancellor Mahato and Registrar Thakur Jaspa were appointed by the then government of Nepal under the leadership of Lalbabu Raut. Now there is a government led by the Janmat Party. The university itself has become unstable recently when the political line of the officials and the government leadership is different.
Janmaat Party has been dissatisfied with the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar after the university made Jaspa Nepal President Upendra Yadav the chief guest for the foundation laying ceremony on 8th January 2080. After the formation of the Madhesh state government under the leadership of the Janmat Party, vice-chancellor Mahato and registrar Thakur said that the vice-chairman of NITI Aayog had committed irregularities. An inquiry committee was also formed under the leadership of Sohan Sah. Dr. Although the investigation committee led by Shah has submitted a report, the report has not been officially published.
