Swaviyu elections: Fake voters arrested

As part of the Independent Students' Union elections, the police detained a person who went to Mahendra Vindeshwari Multipurpose Campus in Rajviraj on Tuesday to cast his vote in the name of someone else.

According to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of Saptari, Shivkant Mandal, who came to vote in the name of someone else, was detained.

Swaviyu elections were held in various districts of the country including Saptari on Tuesday. The voting period for the election, which started at 8 am on Tuesday morning in 46 individual and 250 affiliated campuses, was scheduled until 4 pm. 

Member Secretary of the Central Monitoring and Coordinating Committee of Swabi University Elections Pashupati Adhikari said that the election committee formed on the campus after the voting will count the votes from this evening.

 Trivi has been holding elections every two years. Student organizations close to political parties, Aneraswawiyu, Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, Aneraswawiyu (Revolutionary), Aneraswawiyu, independent student groups and others have participated in the election.
