In Saptari's Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-4 Lalapati, eight houses were destroyed in a fire on Tuesday morning.

Houses, barns and other belongings were destroyed by the fire which started due to a short circuit of the electric wire and four-legged animals also died. 

Two houses of local Dev Narayan Pandit, Rameshwar Pandit's house and cow shed, kitchen house and Jugeshwar Pandit's house and shed have been destroyed by fire. According to the police, clothes, food, furniture, utensils, mobile phones, gold and silver inside the house were destroyed by the fire. 

Two goats and one buffalo have been burnt to death in the fire . The fire was brought under control by the joint efforts of locals and security personnel.

Similarly, five houses were destroyed by fire in Rajviraj Municipality 6 of Saptari on Monday evening. Due to the short circuit of the electric wire in the shed of the local Dubilal Yadav, four of Yadav's two sheds, one kitchen and one living house and one house of neighbor Suresh Sharma and the furniture and the wood in the furniture were destroyed by fire .

The fire was brought under control with the help of two fire engines from Rajviraj Municipality and Police Training Center, locals and security personnel.
