There has been a theft at Shivshanti Jewelers located in Balwa, Mahottari. According to the District Police Office, a group of thieves broke the lock of Vishashanti Jewelers in Paraul Bazar in Balwa Municipality-3 and stole the locker kept in the shop along with the jewellery.

On Saturday night, a group of thieves who came in a jeep looted and fled towards Bardibas. It was seen in the CCTV footage and the stolen jewelry and other things have not been ascertained.

According to Arun Kumar Sah, the owner of Shivshanti Jewellers, the thieves, who came in a group of 5 people, stole 20 tolas of gold, 150,000 cash, the vault (locker) kept in the shop, and the hard disk of the camera.

After the thieves took the hard disk of the camera in the gold shop, the video of the jeep used to steal and the people involved in the theft was captured in another nearby camera. Owner Sah said that although the shop was stolen at night, it came to light only at 9 o'clock on Sunday morning.

Nakkul Pokharel, Superintendent of Police of Mahottara, along with the investigating police, reached Paraul and started the investigation. Balwa area police office is located near the place of theft.
