This year's Holi festival is being celebrated continuously for three days. The Holi festival that has been going on in Madhesh since the full moon day of February is being celebrated even today in a special place. Preparations are being made to celebrate Holi today in seven localities here.
There are three traditions of celebrating Holi in Madhesh. The Parbate community celebrates the full moon day of February. Similarly, many people in Madhesh celebrate Holi on the day of the end of the full moon and the beginning of the Chait Shukla Pratipada.
Different from these two, there is also a place where Holi is played today according to the Maithil tradition. They are seven districts including Matihani, Jaleshwar, Mahottari, Balwa, Loharpatti, Pipra and Bhangaha. Local villages and urban areas.
