A 500-bed hospital with heart and diabetes facilities is going to be built in Lahan municipality-4. Dr. Sanjay Prasad Sah, consultant physician of the hospital, said that the construction process was started by the Nepal Heart Disease Prevention Association with two billion financial support from two international non-governmental organizations named "Nepal Made Germany" and "Rotary Club Katus" of Germany.
According to Dr. Shah, if the hospital is to be built on the 11 bigha land provided by the Lahan Municipality, its detailed project report (DPR) has been prepared. "The goal is to build the hospital within the next five years," he said.
Two buildings have been constructed on the public land provided by the municipality and the OPD service has been operated since January 4th, which was officially inaugurated on Monday. Lahan Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary and world famous heart surgeon Dr. Kumud Dhital jointly inaugurated the newly constructed building.
In the opening ceremony, Mayor Choudhary said that the establishment of the 'Cardio and Diabetic Center' in Lahan is a proud project for Lahan.
