One hundred and twenty-six students studying at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha state, India have returned to Nepal through Raxaul border crossing.

 

With the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal studying at KIIT, Nepali students have returned to their country citing insecurity.

Chief District Officer Nishanraj Gautam on behalf of District Administration Office Parsa informed that 113 male and 23 female students have returned today.  According to Nimitta Prajia Gautam, the returned students have complained of threats and mental torture by the administration of KIIT.

 

All Nepal National Independent Students' Union (Krantikari) protested today from the Consulate General of India in Birgunj to Ganthghar Chowk demanding justice for the deceased student Lamsal.
