Around 200 tippers carrying limestone have been arrested in Siraha's Mirchaiya. The traffic police has been cracking down on tippers since Monday morning at Katari Chowk in Mirchaiya.
Chief of District Traffic Police Office Lahan Poshanraj Thapalia said that those tippers are being prosecuted for carrying over load. He said that about 40/50 tippers have been fined since morning.
However, about one and a half hundred more tippers have been stuck on the highway since morning. Thapalia says that they refused to give the documents to cut the fine and the drivers stopped on the tipper highway and walked away.
For Maruti Cement Industry in Siraha, Shaurya Cement Industry and Kasmus Cement Industry in Dhanusha, daily about 1000 tippers are bringing more limestone than the load capacity from Udaipur and Sindhuli.
