The Madhesh Pradesh Assembly has so far passed 64 laws related to various subjects. Minister Rajkumar Lekhi gave this information in a discussion with the stakeholders on the implementation of the law organized by the Ministry of Home, Communications and Law in Janakpurdham on Friday and said that the support and cooperation of the concerned bodies is necessary for the implementation of the law.
He said, 'No matter how good the law is, if it is not implemented, it has no justification.' Law Minister Lekhi said that the provincial government is serious about the implementation of the laws made by the provincial government.
Surendra Mahato, the Chief Attorney of Madhesh Province, said that for the effective implementation of the laws made by the provincial government, the law-making, interpretation of laws and law-enforcement agencies have participated in the interaction. He also said that it is necessary for the provincial government to have its own police and civil administration for the effective implementation of the law.
State Assembly member Sanjay Yadav said that cooperation is necessary to strengthen federalism. Judge Mahendranath Upadhyay of the High Court Janakpurdham said that it is necessary to monitor how the laws of the state have been implemented by the local level.
The interaction program was attended by high officials, district court judges, representatives of the public prosecutor's office, officials of Nepal War Association, heads of security agencies.
