Stating that Gobargadha is sensitive in terms of security, DIG Acharya of Nepal Police said that they will talk to the officials of the District Security Committee to restore the police post in Gobargadha. DIG Acharya said that information has been received from local residents that Gobargadha is like a checkpoint for smuggling. Acharya said that discussions will be held with the District Security Committee to adopt necessary measures to control smuggling.
A large quantity of goods including alcohol is smuggled from Gobargadha, an island in Koshi.
