Saptari police seized 670 kilos of marijuana on Saturday. Saptari SP Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that 670 kg of ganja was seized by the police while it was kept covered with straw in Kamaldaha of Balanbihul Rural Municipality-1 Chanhi. The marijuana was placed in 24 packets and covered with straw.
Earlier, Saptari police seized 1,717 kilos of ganja loaded in a tipper from Rajgarh Rural Municipality on the night of November 3. Saptari is brought from the eastern hill district and ganja is stored and smuggled to India from here. Although the police seized marijuana, the businessmen were not arrested.
