Wild elephants have created terror in Gautamnagar and Ichchanagar of Thori rural municipality ward number-2 for the past three days. An elephant from Chitwan National Park is destroying and attacking houses.
According to local Chiranjeevi Sapkota, the elephant entered the village from 3 o'clock on Monday night and destroyed the fence of Chet Bahadur Basnet's house in Gautam Nagar and destroyed 6 quintals of paddy worth 40,000 rupees. At the same time, elephants have also damaged the houses of local Sita Gautam and Kazi Pyakurel.
Locals have said that the elephant caused panic by entering the settlement from 3 am to 11 am on Wednesday in Gautam Nagar. The Nepalese army has stopped the movement through the road of the said village. Sapkota said that during the patrol on Monday, the Nepali Army's patrol team deployed from Amuwa post was also attacked.
