The official vehicle of Siraha's Bishnupur rural municipality was vandalized by the vice president. Vice President Geethakumari Singh vandalized the car saying that she was not allowed to board.
When he threw bricks and stones at the government Scorpio number Ba 2 Jh 3643, various parts including windows and door glass were damaged.
Vice President Singh admitted that she had to vandalize the car after she asked the driver to pick her up at home at 10 am on Sunday morning. 'I called the driver to pick me up from home at 10 am. But when he did not come to take it, when I came to the office on my motorcycle, I saw the car stopped in front of the president's house and got angry and hit the car,' she said.
There are two Scorpios in Bishnupur Rural Municipality, one owned and one leased. Out of which, cars have been bought for the president and vice president of the rural municipality, while the chief administrative officer rides in a rented car.
Vice President Singh alleged that both the vehicles of the municipality have been seized by Chairman Satyanarayan Yadav. 'I am also a representative elected by the people,' said Vice President Singh to Kantipur, 'but, I have been discriminated against step by step.'
President Yadav claimed that the Vice President called him to come to his house at 9 o'clock and when he did not go, the vehicle was vandalized. "Because I am the president, I am naturally a bit more busy," he said, "but the vice president showed wrong behavior."
