Nepali Congress Vice Chairman Dhanraj Gurung has said that 500 and 1000 notes should be stopped immediately to reduce bribery and commission.

"Democracy is in danger due to the poor economic condition of the country," Congress told the regional conference of Mahottari Region No.-3 in Jaleshwar on Sunday  In his address, Gurung, who is also a former minister, said, 'Since good governance cannot be maintained, the country cannot be built, as a second step, the large currency notes in circulation in the country should be stopped immediately.'

He also said that for good governance, the assets of all leaders and employees should be investigated and purged. He said that the economic condition of the country has become weak when bribery, commission and corruption are rampant in the country. He also said that development cannot be envisaged in the current situation and democracy will not be strong if the economy is not strong.
