Murder of police assistant in Bara: Investigation department officials under investigation

Five days ago, Rajkumar Rumba, a 40-year-old police office assistant, who was found dead in Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan City-11 Amadar, was shot dead and the police have started investigation. The police started the investigation by interrogating Srikant Tiwari, the investigation officer (inspector) of the intelligence agency National Investigation Department.

Sahagogi Rumba, a police officer working in the police unit of Simra Airport, was found on the road of Amadar village in the morning of last Saturday (Pus 6) in the car number 01-028 Ch 7616 of Wagmati Province.

Rumba of Jitpur Simra 17 was living in Simra Sukumbasi Basti of Ward No-1. At 9:30 pm on Friday night, he left with his car. The private car belongs to Tiwari, a National Investigation Officer who has been working at Simra Airport for a year. Therefore, the police started the first phase of investigation from Tiwari. Rumba was working as a cousin. He has two wives and 3 children. He was also the leader of the squatters.

'There was a rift between office assistant Rumba and investigation officer Tiwari,' said Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Dahal of Simra area police office, 'so the investigation was started from Tiwari. During interrogation, Tiwari said that Rumba took the car keys with him and said that he was going to Kalaiya.'

Although Tiwari is not in police custody, he said that the area police office is in contact and surveillance within the police premises of Simra. He said that no one else was arrested. "The incident is mysterious, a detailed investigation is going on," he said, "everything will be revealed in a few days."

Rumba was found dead on the fourth day after an autopsy at Birganj Narayani Hospital, and it was confirmed that he had been killed by a close-range gunshot to the head, he said. The family, relatives and villagers of the deceased had been protesting in front of the police office for a detailed investigation of the incident saying that Rumba's death was mysterious. An autopsy was conducted after negotiations between the police and the deceased. The deceased's side is still protesting that the police did not arrest those involved in the murder.
