Siraha Jail case: The inquiry committee submitted a 90-page report

The investigation committee formed to investigate the Siraha prison case has submitted its investigation report. The committee took about one and a half months to submit the investigation report to the District Administration Office, Siraha.

  Rabindra Mahat, the Administrative Officer of the District Administration Office, Siraha, informed that the report was submitted to the district administration by the

committee last Thursday. According to him, the research report has 90 pages.

Mahat said that the chief district officer is on leave and as soon as he arrives, the report will be submitted in the meeting of the district security committee and then the report will be made public. He said that the contents mentioned in the report will be known only after it is made public.

The report was prepared by observing the prison, studying the existing conditions, the physical structure and security system, studying the administrative system, discussing and interacting with the prisoners, collecting records related to the prisoners, studying the policy rules and guidelines, and interacting with the stakeholders, he said.

After the news about the prison came in Kantipur on November 21, the District Security Committee formed an inquiry committee on November 25. Under the leadership of DSP Bishnu Prasad Soti, who is also the head of the area police office, Lahan, there were 5 members representing the district administration, district police and prison.

The investigation committee was initially given 15 days to start work from November 27th and finish up to November 11th . However, the District Security Committee extended the time after the investigation and investigation work was not completed on time.

Kantipur made public the incident of jail chief Vijay Mahato and Nike's Indrajit Yadav drinking alcohol and using mobile phones inside the Sirha jail. Similarly, the fact that everything found outside including drugs is available in this prison up to five times the price was also revealed.

In the same way, the inmates of the prison are allowed to go out by paying money, extortion of money from the inmates in the name of phone, opening of shops inside the prison and robbing the inmates, chowkidars and the administration collecting more than 20 lakhs per month were also made public through the news.
