The people who came to participate in the Ramzan wedding festival to be held in Janakpurdham have been welcomed in Matihani. People from Ayodhya, India were welcomed in Matihani last night.

People's representatives including Matihani Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal, District Chief District Officer Lal Babu Kawari and the district chiefs of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police welcomed the people. Manamahanth of Lakshminarayan Math in Matihani, leader of social organization, Acharya of Yajnavalkya Lakshminarayan Vidyapith in Matihani and Government Sanskrit Secondary School (Matihani Gurukul)  Teachers, watuks and officials of Mahottari Industry and Commerce Association participated.

A public team of 500 people, including high officials of Ayodhya-based Sri Ram Trust and saints, arrived in Matihani to participate in this year's Ramjanaki festival. It is a tradition for the week-long Ramzan wedding festival to be celebrated every fifth year by people from Ayodhya dressed up. After entering Nepal, Matihani will leave for Janakpur after the first night's rest. Matihani has arrived.

Matihani is known as the place where soil was dug to make the altar in Ram-Sita's marriage. Nagarpramukh Mandal says that his place is an important link in the marriage festival as an important part is attached to the marriage of Ram-Sita.

Mithila food (dal rice, vegetables, chutney, papartilauri, taro and curd) was served to the guests from Ayodhya, said the Nagar Pramukh Mandal. People who spent the night at Matihani on Monday will go to Janakpurdham via Jaleshwar, Pipra this morning.

Since Janaki is a daughter of Mithila, the residents here are considered to be her relatives and Mithila residents.  In Mithila, it is a well-established tradition that the family members of the bride's side play pranks and make fun of people. According to this, the residents of Matihani openly joked and joked with the people who came from Ayodhya.

Aaj Matihani to Janti  Will go to Jaleshwar. The people are scheduled to have lunch today at Pipra in Mahottari after receiving the welcome of the people of Jaleswar and visiting Jaleswarnath Mahadev. Like Matihani, Jaleshwar Municipality and Pipra Rural Municipality have also prepared to welcome people. It is said that the

people will reach Janakpurdham this evening. After reaching there, Janti Janaki will stay as a guest of the temple management throughout the festival period. The week-long marriage festival has already started in Janakpurdham on Sunday with the 'Janakpur Nagar Darshan' program. The second day of the festival  "Phoulbari Leela" was completed on Monday. 'Janakpur Nagar Darshan' and 'Phoulbari Leela' are respectively related to the story of Ram and Lakshmana reaching Janakpur with Guru Vishwamitra and seeing Rama with Sitaji in the garden.

Similarly, Dhanushayagya is being organized on the third day today. Today, a broken Leela is organized while Shriram is offering Shivaji's bow. Similarly, on the fourth day, Tilakotsava (the ceremony of offering blessings and clothing and ornaments from the bride's father), on the fifth day, Matkor (the ceremony of making a yajnavedi for marriage and worshiping all the gods and goddesses), on the sixth day, auspicious marriage and the last i.e. on the seventh day, the Ramakaleva ceremony will be held. Ramakaleva is a way of saying goodbye to people. In this method, there is a Maithil tradition of sending off Samdhi, bridegroom's special relatives and people by giving clothes, jewelery and cash dakshina. This festival tradition has been going on in Mithila in the belief that the marriage of Sri Ram and Janaki took place on Mangsir Shukla Paksha Panchami Tithi in the Treta Yuga.
