Some public schools in Mahottari's Gaushala have proven to be better than private ones. They have proved themselves to be excellent by competing with private schools with the help of teachers and parents. Now students studying in private schools have also started studying in public schools.
The reputation of the school, which has fallen due to political strife, has been brought back together by teachers and parents . In order to solve the problem of teacher shortage in schools, parents have donated and hired teachers from private sources to make English medium teaching possible in public schools.
Technical education in public schools, reading through English and smart classes have started attracting students to public schools. Tribhuvan Secondary School in Gaushala has conducted smart classes for students above class 8. After the technical teaching started, the number of students has also increased as the teaching has been improved by a team of good teachers. Mahato said that since there are more students, the education up to class 8 in the afternoon and above class 8 to class 12 should be done in the morning session.
Preeti Yadav, who is studying in class 10 of Janata Secondary School Bharatpurkhor located in Gaushala-11, studied coaching in English medium at Gnanmandir Boarding School located nearby and used to take the exam in Janata Secondary School Bharatpurkhor . Janata Secondary School Bharatpurkhor in Gaushala has started teaching in English medium and the number of students in the school has increased . Headmaster Vipin Kumar Joshi said that the number of students has increased since the English medium started teaching from Kindergarten to 12th standard. "We also started education through English medium after the parents told us that they wanted to teach their children through English medium, but they had to enroll them in private schools because they were taught through Nepali medium in public schools," he said.
Prof. Joshi said that the change in the school is possible with the thinking of teachers to improve tomorrow by reviewing today rather than comparing with others by developing the habit of reading rather than studying. "Earlier, the number of students in the school was low, there was no regularity, due to lack of discipline in the school, students used to leave the school on time," he said. Now everything has improved and it has become a model school in this region.'
Yognarayan Mahato, chairman of the school management committee, said that the number of students has increased as children enrolled in private schools have started coming to this school. Mahato said that additional enrollment had to be stopped when more students came to enroll than the capacity of the classroom.
Ward President Rampreet Mahato said that efforts are being made to make Janata Secondary School Bharatpurkhor a model school in Gaushala municipality-11. "I believe that the development of the ward will be achieved through education," he said, "Education is our priority." Although 17 teachers have been appointed to conduct 26 classes in Janata Mavi, Mahato said that due to the increase in the number of students and now 9 more teachers have been appointed from private sources to conduct classes in English medium, teaching has been conducted with 26 teachers . The salary of the teachers recruited from private sources is managed by the donations given by the students.
