According to Superintendent of Police Kumodh Dhungel, Mukhtar, a resident of Raxaul, who was defaming the police, was arrested from Amarpatti. According to
sources, Mukhtar, who has been involved in illegal business in the border area for a long time, has been collecting money from those involved in illegal business recently saying that he has 'set up' with the SP and crime team of the district.
"The mukhtar who smuggled clothes and groceries used to give wrong information to the new officer who came to the district that the goods were passing through this point," says a police officer, "When the police team was engaged there, he easily cut off the goods."
