Veeramaya Gole, who walked in the Bardiwas market early on Saturday, holding a white stick, and Hark Bahadur Gole, who followed behind holding a stick, are siblings. Hark and Veeramaya's lives have been asking for help for years. But it is not easy for Hark, who is blind in both eyes and Veeramaya, who is not physically fit, to ask for help.
Hark is living a life dependent on his sister, while Veeramaya has spent half of her life as her brother's helper . After the world turned dark within a year of his birth, Hark said that he had never been happy in his life. "My mother took care of me for 10 years," he said.
After the death of his mother Sukumaya at a young age, his father remarried and he said that they were helpless. "I was born as a water point," said Hark, "I don't know what I saw, but in a year I will lose sight in both eyes!" Mother said.'
Both Harak and Veeramaya, who are going to the market asking for help, are living with the help given by others. Harak, who was born in 2011, currently lives in Tuteshwar located in Bardiwas Municipality-5. Herk, who got married in 040, after the death of his wife in 057, his life became more dark for some time.
He told that he also raised two daughters born after married life by asking for help. "My sister has supported me ever since I had to ask for a living," he said, "She also has no one, we have been living like this."
Veeramaya's husband, who cannot speak very well, is also raised by the hard work of his siblings. She said that she is taking care of a family of 3 because she is unable to speak and do much work. "Many don't give even when asked," Veeramaya said, "some even give after looking at the situation, that's how life goes on."
When asking for help, Hark said that he learned to play the flute when many people started saying sing songs, play instruments. Hark said that now they go in front of every house and shop to ask for help and collect the amount to be given and arrange to bring food. He said that he does not have to look after his daughters now that he can support his own life. ``It's a bad part,'' said Hark, ``It seems like you can't walk like this . But how to live without walking?
Both of them are worried about how to live after they can no longer even walk in a life that has been going on like this for 50 years. With the help of the locals, he has started receiving social security allowance due to being disabled for some years, but Hark said that the allowance is not enough to sustain his life. "Illness persists, taking medicine or rice," he said, "Namagi is not happy."
It seems that the government will increase the allowance, give food and drink, but it seems that they should not have to walk in life, but until now, no one has thought about them. As he was not able to breathe enough to play the piper, he asked everyone to help him after looking at the situation.
