The police have arrested a person with the trophy of a protected wild animal, the otter (Oat). Arun Sonaha, 27, of the same area, was arrested by the police on Saturday from Daulatpur suspension bridge in Rajapur Municipality–1 with the trophy of the protected wild animal.

According to the police, a skin of a protected wild animal otter measuring 4 feet 5 inches in length and 8 inches in width was recovered from Sonaha. The police stated that the otter skin was recovered when Sonaha, who was walking suspiciously along the bank of the Karnali River, was taken into custody and searched.

The police stated that Sonaha, along with the animal skin, has been handed over to the Division Forest Office for necessary action.
