A 22-year-old man has died after being stung by hornets in Gulmi. According to Birendra Bir Bishwakarma, Information Officer at the District Police Office Gulmi, Purnasingh Thami Magar, 22, of Hansara, Satyawati Rural Municipality–5, died in the incident.
According to him, on the 2nd of Saun, Thami was stung by hornets while trying to smoke out a hornet nest in a kadam tree near his house. He was taken to Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Prabhas (Palpa) for treatment. Afterwards, he was referred to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal for further treatment.
He was kept in the ICU for treatment. The District Police Office Gulmi stated that he died last night during treatment after being stung and injured on both legs and his right hand.
