Police have arrested five people for consuming alcohol in a government office during the day. The police arrested them for consuming alcohol in the Land Administration Office on Friday afternoon.
The service recipients had informed the district administration after seeing them consuming alcohol inside the office during office hours on Friday. A team including the administrative officer of the District Administration Office Lok Prasad Dhakal and a police inspector reached the Land Administration Office and found them consuming alcohol.
Yubaraj Acharya of Birendranagar Municipality-11, Surkhet, the buyer of the Land Administration Office, Gul Bahadur Chaudhary of Barbardiya Municipality-7, Santosh Rana of Gulariya Municipality-6, who works at the Gulariya Municipality Land Service Office, Dilmaya Dangi of Gulariya Municipality-4, and Subha Tharu, who are working as clerks, were taken into custody at the Land Administration Office and are being investigated, said DSP Resham Bohara of the District Police Office.
