In the fiscal year 082/083, a total of 44 cases were registered in the Gulariya Judicial Committee, of which 32 have been settled.

According to Kapil Ghimire, head of the Gulariya Municipality Legal Department, 4 land-related disputes have been sent to the district court and 8 cases are under action.

Both cases registered regarding violence against women have been settled. There were 24 land-related disputes registered. Of which 18 have been settled. 4 have been sent to the Bardiya District Court, 2 are not settled but are under action.

Out of 9 cases related to drainage blockage, 7 have been settled and 2 are under action. Out of 3 cases related to transactions, 2 have been settled and one action is under process, Ghimire said. Cases such as cutting of trees and plants in the sandh, road disputes, etc. were filed.

Similarly, 100 small petitions were registered in the judicial committee. Out of which 75 have been settled. 14 cases have been sent to courts, while 11 cases are under process.

The Judicial Committee, coordinated by Deputy Mayor Savitra Gautam of Gulariya Municipality, has been providing proper judicial services to the residents of the city.

With the help of mediators, the committee has been resolving disputes related to violence against women, land disputes, transaction disputes, marital disputes and fraud at the local level. The committee has stated that most of the cases registered with the Judicial Committee in the current fiscal year 082/083 have been settled.

Deputy Mayor and Judicial Committee Coordinator Savitra Gautam of Gulariya Municipality said that they are continuously making efforts to provide judicial services to the residents in accordance with the rights and responsibilities provided by the constitution.
