The discussion on the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2083-84 has concluded in the Lumbini Provincial Assembly.
In the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Saturday, Provincial Assembly members have suggested the government to bring a budget by prioritizing agriculture, local production, enterprise development, marketing and self-reliance-oriented programs.
The members said that the budget brought by the provincial government should be implementable, result-oriented and instill hope and confidence in the citizens. They have also emphasized that priority should be given to employment creation, skill development and entrepreneurship promotion programs targeting the youth.
A discussion was held on the principles and priorities of the Lumbini Provincial Government Appropriation Bill, 2083, in accordance with Sub-rule (3) of Rule 135 of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly Rules, 2079 BS. The Speaker had set a time of 3 hours or 180 minutes for the discussion. During the discussion on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill, Provincial Assembly members Dipendra Kumar Pun, Yamuna Roka Tamang, Tulsiram Sharma, Krishna Kushma Tharu, Rekha Sharma, Dhan Bahadur KC, Indra Kumari Gahatraj, Nawaraj Lamichhane, Rajkumar Chaudhary and Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary had made suggestions.
At the beginning of the meeting, members expressed their views on various contemporary issues during the zero hour. Provincial Assembly members Raju Prasad Shrestha, Tara Thapa, Malati Sodari, Bhagwati Adhikari, Basanti Neupane, Narmaya Dhakal, Sushila Badi and Meena Kumari Shrestha spoke during the zero hour. The next meeting of the Provincial Assembly will be held on Sunday, Jestha 10 at 1 pm.
