Rupandehi police have arrested a son on charges of murdering his own father.
The police have arrested Sunil Tharu, 24, on charges of murdering 58-year-old Jang Bahadur Tharu of Beldanda, Kanchan Rural Municipality-4. The son killed his father by slitting his throat on Friday in a domestic dispute, according to Prahari. The father, who was unconscious after being slit, was immediately taken to Pipara Hospital in Kapilvastu by his neighbors. However, he was already dead when he reached there.
The police deployed from Rudrapur Police Office arrested Sunil after locals informed the police about the assault. The police have said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
