The Lumbini Provincial Government has decided to end the winter session of the Provincial Assembly from today. The winter session has passed four bills.
The session passed the bill to establish and operate Lumbini Pragya Pratishthan, the bill to ensure the rights of the Dalit community, the bill to manage and regulate provincial pesticides, and the bill to amend the District Assembly and District Coordination Committee Operation Act 2075 BS.
On the recommendation of the government, Provincial Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar has decided to end the current session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly from Thursday night. On the recommendation of the Provincial Council of Ministers, the current session of the assembly has been ended as per Article 183 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal. Kamal Gyawali, spokesperson of the Provincial Chief's Office, said that Provincial Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar has ended the session with effect from 12 midnight on Thursday, Baisakh.
The session was ended on the basis of a request made through Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya as per the decision of the provincial government (Council of Ministers) on Wednesday, the statement said.

In the 16th meeting held at 11:30 am on Thursday, Speaker Tula Ram Gharti Magar read out the letter regarding the end of the session received from the Provincial Chief Office
