Local youth activists have submitted a memorandum to the government demanding relief and compensation for the family of Nepali youth Sudip Neupane, who lost his life in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, a year ago. The memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister through the District Administration Office on Wednesday demanded immediate relief, saying that the government has not implemented the commitment it made publicly last year. The memorandum was submitted to District Administrator Janardan Gautam on behalf of the youth activists led by youth leader Prakash Ghimire. It is regrettable that the victim's family has not received any relief and compensation from the government even after a year of the incident. The state has been urged to immediately provide the promised relief amount and take diplomatic initiatives with the Indian government for compensation.

The deceased, Neupane, who was killed while on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir, is a resident of Ward No. 4 of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City in Rupandehi.
