A case of murder has been registered against Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality Vice Chairman Lala (Hom Prakash) Chaudhary, who was arrested on charges of assaulting an Armed Police Force officer.
The police have taken a 4-day remand from the district court on Tuesday to investigate Chaudhary. Armed Senior Constable Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary, who was on duty at Shivalawa Post under Hathihawa BOP, was assaulted by Vice Chairman Chaudhary on Monday afternoon.
Information Officer and DSP Ripendra Kumar Singh of the District Police Office said that the Vice Chairman assaulted Chaudhary for causing unnecessary trouble by checking the goods brought by motor parts from across the border.
DSP Singh informed that a case was registered and an investigation was initiated after the Armed Police Force filed a complaint.
