Two people have died and 11 others have been injured in a pickup jeep accident in Birbas Misuka, Gulmidurbar Rural Municipality-4 of the district. The Bolero pickup jeep bearing the number Lu 1 Cha 4906 met with an accident on Sunday.

Locals Krishna Dhenga, 35, and Mina Sanami, 40, died in the accident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Gulmi.

Eleven people have been injured in the accident. Locals Jamuna Dhenga, 40, Sumitra Dhenga, 36, Parbati Dhenga, 44, Khagi Dhenga, 30, Pampha Dhenga, 33, Kumari Pun, 24, Nirmala Dhenga, 3, Chaya Dhenga, 31, Maya Dhenga, 40, Jamuna Dhenga and 55, Naina Dhenga have been injured.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the jeep accident occurred due to brake failure. The jeep suddenly hit the house. The condition of some of the injured is critical. The injured have been sent to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas in Palpa for further treatment.
