Copy checking has started in 12 of the 14 SEE examination centers in the district from Thursday.
Copy checking will begin from Friday as internal management has not been completed at the Bishwa Secondary School Dhakawang and Saraswati Secondary School Suryathum centers. Out of the 12, the work of checking the copy has been completed at the Siddhartha Secondary School Hanspur and Kamala Secondary School Pali centers, said Bishnu Prasad Belbase, Head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit.
The copy will be checked within three days and sent to the police and number units. He said that the copy checking is being done by expert teachers in the English subject exam held on Thursday. Thursday's exam was peaceful in all centers in the district. CCTV cameras are being kept under surveillance in some schools. Copy checking has started by arranging a room at the Janajyoti Secondary School center in Chutraveshi.
Principal Madhav Prasad Acharya monitored the examination of the papers by two teachers in another room from his office with a CCTV camera. One armed and one district policeman are providing security at the classroom door. Other teachers and outsiders are prohibited from entering the school premises. He said that 266 students from 9 schools in Janajyoti took the examination from that center.
‘The examination was also peaceful,’ Acharya said, ‘The examination of the papers is also going on in a calm atmosphere. The examination of a subject can be completed within three days.’
