The construction of the suspension bridge connecting Chalditari and Palukha under ISMA Rural Municipality-2 of the district has been completed five months ahead of schedule.
The construction of the 146-meter-long suspension (N-type) bridge constructed by the Road Infrastructure Development Office Tamghas has been completed ahead of schedule by Astha Samjhana JV Arghakhanchi. A budget of Rs 17.184 million was allocated for the construction of the bridge.

When the river floods during the rainy season, local residents, especially students, children, the elderly and the sick, were forced to suffer a lot in their movement. Earlier, due to the lack of a bridge, some students were deprived of going to school during the rainy season, said local Yama Bahadur Thapa.
According to him, in the absence of a bridge, one had to take risks to cross the river and use a long winding road. Now that the bridge is operational, the distance of about half an hour will be reduced to five minutes.
According to local Ramlal Ghimire, once the bridge is operational, it will be easier to go to schools and health services, and there will also be more activity in the commercial sector. Locals have expressed their happiness that the long-standing demand for a suspension bridge made by the residents of the area with political parties has been fulfilled, albeit slowly.
The bridge is seen as an important infrastructure that will not only connect the two settlements on the other side of the river but also improve the living standards of the citizens of the area.
