According to him, joint market monitoring has been intensified since Monday in view of the gas shortage. Since Sunday, two and a half dozen gas sellers have been monitored in the Butwal, Tilottama and Sainamaina city areas.
A team including the Consumer Interest Protection Forum, local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, trade organization, trade association, municipality representatives and security personnel have been deployed in the joint monitoring.
The team said that more than a dozen gas sellers in the areas around the East-West Highway in Rupandehi have been hiding cooking gas to earn more profit.
