Police have arrested 32-year-old Ishwor Pariyar of Madhuban Municipality-9, Bardiya, who was absconding after the District Court sentenced him in a drug case. The court had found him guilty on 4 Karthik 081 and ordered him to serve a prison sentence and pay compensation. The court had ordered a sentence of 9 months and 24 days in prison, 50,000 rupees in compensation, and 1,800 rupees to be deposited in the Victim Relief Fund. Information Officer and DSP Pramesh Bista of the District Police Office, Bardiya said that Pariyar was arrested from his home. He said that Pariyar, who was sentenced in a drug case, has been handed over to the District Court for necessary action.
