In the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21, 10,477 votes were directly invalidated in West Nawalparasi. Out of 82,107 votes cast in Constituency No. 1, 5,018 votes were invalidated. In Constituency No. 2, 5,459 votes were invalidated out of 88,915 votes cast, according to the Election Office.
6.12 percent of the votes cast were invalidated.
According to Chief Election Officer Rajendra Prasad Acharya, many of the invalidated votes were due to problems such as printing two election symbols on the same ballot paper, printing between two symbols, and ink spilling due to ignorance of how to fold the ballot paper.
Although various programs have been organized for voter education, the number of invalid votes has not been reduced due to ineffectiveness.
