The Center has recommended that 22 leaders, including current central member of the Nepali Congress, Devendra Raj Kandel, Lumbini Province Forest Minister Devkaran Prasad Jayaswal, and leader Gunanidhi Tiwari, be banned from even being ordinary members of the Nepali Congress for five years.

Action has been recommended against 22 leaders at the center and district level for playing a role in defeating Nepali Congress candidate for the House of Representatives from West Nawalparasi Constituency No. 1 and central member Binod Chaudhary in the election.

The 22 leaders, including current central member Devendra Raj Kandel, Lumbini Province Forest Minister Devkaran Prasad Jayaswal, leader Gunanidhi Tiwari, have been recommended to the center for action, including not being even ordinary members of the Congress for five years.

On Thursday, the District Disciplinary Committee recommended action to the center, accusing them of playing a role in defeating candidate Binod Chaudhary and candidate Bhim Bahadur Thapa from Nawalparasi Constituency 2.

The letter written on the letter pad of the Congress District Working Committee and sent to the center on Thursday was signed by District Disciplinary Committee Coordinator Anand Dhakal. The letter he wrote has been sent directly to Central President Gagan Thapa.

Action recommended against West Nawalparasi Congress leaders at the central and district levels.
