A human skeleton has been found in Gulmi. The skeleton was found in a cave on the banks of the Kaligandaki River in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-4 of the district.

DSP Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Gulmi, informed that a human skeleton was found in a stone quarry in the area where the water flow increased due to the increase in the water flow in the river. Locals had informed the police after seeing the skeleton.

He said that a team from the Purtighat Police Post and the Area Police Office, Ridi, was deployed at the scene. The skeleton is in a state of being decapitated. He said that it cannot be fully identified. There are also slippers at the site. Other materials washed away by the river are also visible scattered.

Efforts are being made to identify the human skeleton, said SP Narayan Prasad Adhikari, Chief of Police at the District Police Office, Gulmi.
