One person has died in a leopard attack. Nandu Rokaya, 35, of Tulsipur, Gulariya Municipality-4, died in a leopard attack on Thursday afternoon.

The leopard attacked Rokaya while he was cutting grass in the Janajagruti Community Forest located in Belbhar, Barbardiya Municipality-11, when he died on the spot, said Shiva Bahadur KC, Information Officer of the Division Forest Office.

According to the Division Forest Office's statistics, seven people have died in leopard attacks in the current fiscal year, while one person each has died in tiger and elephant attacks.
