Inaugurating the Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Center at the Ward Police Office in Chandrauta, Inspector General of Police Karki said that there is sweetness in people's speech and there is poison in their speech, and service providers should provide justice with a victim-friendly spirit, equality and equal perspective.
Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki has directed the police to serve responsibly towards the citizens.
Inaugurating the Women, Children and Senior Citizen Service Center at the Ward Police Office in Chandrauta, Inspector General Karki said that there is sweetness in people's speech and poison in people's speech, and said that service providers should provide justice with victim-friendly sentiments, equality and equal vision. He said that one should not forget that the duty towards the citizen is the responsibility of the police.
He said that with the construction of the newly constructed building with facilities, the police have expanded their services and become more motivated. He also said that such physical structures will be easier for the police who are deployed 24 hours a day to serve the people.
He said that the police should work consciously to provide services to women, children and senior citizens as they are sensitive and future of the country.
The 12-room building was constructed in 12 months with the help of UNOPS at a cost of Rs 23.6 million.
UNOPS Nepal Country Manager Komal Karki, Chief District Officer Janardan Sharma and Lumbini Province Police Chief Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri also addressed the program.
