A prisoner who escaped from Kathmandu during the Gen-G protests has been arrested in Gulmi.
Man Bahadur Sartunge, 65, of Chhatrakot Rural Municipality-5, was arrested from Tamghas, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Gulmi.
According to the police, the prisoner who was taken into custody was absconding from Jagannath Dewal Prison Office, Kathmandu. He is an absconding prisoner in a rape case.
He was taken into custody by the police from Tamghas Bus Park, the district headquarters, on Sunday. A team of two people including Police Assistant Constable Basu Marasini took prisoner Sartunge into custody.
