Due to the change in weather, the high hilly and mountainous regions east of Rukum have been affected since last night, and movement on the mid-hill highway has also been disrupted.

Heavy snowfall in the Rukum East and Baglung border areas of the highway has disrupted vehicle movement since last night.

According to District Police Chief DSP Umashankar Prasad Yadav, the weather has been adverse in the Lekali region of the district since last night and snowfall has been occurring. Due to which, the daily life of the common people has started becoming difficult. ‘About a dozen vehicles have been stopped in the Pathihalne area.’ We are facilitating the passengers to go to a safe place,’ he said. ‘The JCB machine of Bhume Rural Municipality is on standby. We will try to reopen the road after a little snow melts.’

The common people in the mountainous areas have said that the cold has increased a lot due to the snowfall. But they have said that they are taking the snowfall positively as it will benefit winter crops. Now, as the weather is gradually improving, it is expected that life will be easier.
