Kantipur journalist Manoj Poudel has been honored with the Outstanding Conservation Journalism Award. Poudel was honored on Monday for his contributions to the field of conservation, including birds, while living in Kapilvastu.
Poudel, who has been contributing to the communication sector in the fields of birds, wildlife, tourism and environment for a decade, was honored at the third Nepal Bird Fair organized by the Pokhara Bird Society in Lumbini. At the program organized in Lumbini, Bhikkar Yu, Executive Director of the Asian Bird Fair and World Bird Fair Council, presented a certificate of honor along with gifts and cash prizes.
Along with Poudel, Raman Shrestha was also presented a certificate of honor for his contribution in creating the Pokhara Bird Society logo.
