Dang has been declared a street-dependent human-free district. Dang was declared a street-dependent human-free district on Wednesday by reuniting people stranded on the streets with their ashrams and families.

Organizing a program in Ghorahi, District Coordination Committee Chief Nityanand Sharma has declared Dang a street-dependent free district.

He said that Dang has been declared a street-dependent free district in collaboration with the local government and social organizations to implement the fundamental right to live with dignity.

At the program, Lumbini Provincial Assembly member Loka Bishwakarma administered an oath to the stakeholders to be committed to humanity. People found in a destitute situation have been protected in the Human Service Ashram. 

Dang's Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Lamahi Municipality, Rapti Rural Municipality, Gadhwa Rural Municipality, Rajpur Rural Municipality, Banglachuli Rural Municipality, Shantinagar Rural Municipality, Dangisharan Rural Municipality and Babai Rural Municipality have made the campaign successful and declared the streets free of human beings.

Joining this campaign, Nilsagar Manav Sewa Ashram Deukhuri, Manav Kalyan Sewa Samaj Narayanpur and Manav Sewa Ashram Tulsipur are working to rescue street people and reunite families.
