In Constituency No. 1, 22 candidates, including three independents and 19 from political parties, have registered their candidacies, and in Constituency No. 2, 18 candidates, including 17 from political parties and one independent, have registered their candidacies.
A significant number of candidates have registered for the upcoming House of Representatives elections in both constituencies of Bardiya. Forty candidates, including four independents, registered their candidacies on Tuesday.

In Constituency No. 1, former Minister Sanjay Kumar Gautam from Nepali Congress, former Chairman of Tharu Commission Bishnu Prasad Tharu from Nepali Communist Party, Shalikram Adhikari from UML and Thakur Singh Tharu from National Independent Party, Yamnath Ghimire from Janmat, and Manoj Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party have registered their candidacies.
In Constituency No. 2, former Joint General Secretary of Nepali Congress Kishor Singh Rathore, former Minister Bimala BK from UML and Suresh Pantha from Nepali Communist Party have registered their candidacies. Nutan Kumar Chaudhary has registered his candidacies as an independent candidate. Similarly, Anirudhya Arya from Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Khushiram Tharu from Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, Tikaram Chaudhary from Nepal Communist Party, Dharmaraj Jaisi Acharya from Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party, Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary from Ujjaya Nepal Party, Nita Sharma from Nepal Communist Party (United), Netraraj Acharya from Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, Shreedhar Pokharel from National Independent and other party candidates have registered their candidacies.
The Returning Officer's Office has stated that 3 candidates have filed their candidacies from Constituency No. 1 and 2 women from Constituency No. 2.
There are 168,043 voters in Constituency No. 1, including 83,000 men, 84,227 women and 4 others, while in Constituency No. 2, there are 155,232 voters, including 75,584 men, 79,646 women and 2 others.
