4,400 people have applied to join the election police in Bardiya for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Applications for 2,026 election police posts, including 1,826 Nepal Police and 200 Armed Police Force posts, were opened in the district.
District Police DSP Devendra Kumar Malla said that 4,400 applications were registered during the specified period from January 25 to January 1.
DSP Malla informed that the selection process for election police posts will begin from January 5. He said that most of the applicants are young people.
