District Police Spokesperson DSP Deepak Patali informed that the process of recruiting 2,491 election police officers has been started for deployment in three constituencies of Banke.
The Election Police Recruitment, Selection and Appointment Committee, Banke, is publishing a unified notice for Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal and inviting applications from eligible Nepali citizens. It is stated that Nepali citizens who have completed 18 years of age and have not exceeded 54 years of age can apply for the post of election police by the upcoming Magh 1.
It is stated that those who want to be recruited in the district can apply at District Police Banke, Area Police Kohalpur, Area Police Bhagwanpur, Armed Police Force No. 30 Battalion Headquarters Bageshwori Bhavaniapur and Armed Police Force No. 42 Reserve Battalion Headquarters Shamsergunj.
Similarly, the working period of the election police will be 40 days from the date of appointment or as prescribed by the Government of Nepal. The committee has stated that a salary of Rs. 34,776 will be provided for 40 days at the rate of Rs. 869.40 paisa per day under the service facilities. The notice also states that food expenses will be provided as per the rates received by the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force in the respective districts.
There are 351,439 voters in Banke this time. The District Election Office has also stated that there are 139 polling stations and 400 polling centers.
